Artisan in the Gardens with the Voigtländer Nokton 40mm 1:1.2 and Sony α7R

This is the seventh of a series of articles showcasing pictures taken on the Voigtländer Nokton 40mm 1:1.2. These pictures were taken at a showcase of Australian artists and makers at the historic Lion Gate Lodge at the Royal Botanic Gardens called “Artisans in the Garden.”

Built in 1878, Lion Gate Lodge is a stunning Victorian sandstone building boasting a private landscaped cottage garden, large permanent awning and paved courtyard.

This event is a good showcase of the len’s ability to isolate subject detail from surroundings, and it’s contrast and colour handling.
