Bush Stone-curlew sleeping on one leg

A young bush stone-curlew standing on one leg to show off his sense of balance, even when mostly asleep (they are mostly nocturnal)

This image shot with the Sony 50mm f/1.2 GM lens on a Sony A1, at ISO 100 f/1.2 1/640. Image cropped to a square, but it’s the full height of the frame. I was trying to show off how accurately the camera could focus with a really shallow depth of field, but I managed to put his leg out of focus; the moral of the story being that one should use enough depth of field to get the subject properly into focus.
