Mauve and white

Roses do not grow in every conceivable colour. Reds, yellows, oranges, whites – there are a multitude of choices. Blues and greens, not so much. But there are a few unusual colours, like this lovely mauve and white rose.

This visit to the State Rose Garden was under bright sunlight and a cold breeze. Getting good photographs when the roses are waving in the wind can be challenging, because IBIS only stabilises the camera, not the subject.
