I attended the awards presentation event held at The Venue, Alexandria, as a guest of Sony Australia. It was a wonderful night and an opportunity to see category winners and grand prize winner, as well as to meet other photographers.

Sony offered free sensor cleaning for attendees that brought their own cameras. This proved to be popular, and I nearly missed out, my trusty old α7R was one of the last cameras to be cleaned on the night. I used my α9 to take photos whilst the camera was being cleaned. Attendees also had a chance to receive a personalised Sony camera strap.

There were lots to photograph, including dancers and acrobats, food cooking demonstrations, and the entire range of Sony Alpha cameras and lenses on display for photographers to try out.
