Chronoharp is created by Amigo & Amigo in collaboration with Otis Studios from Australia.
As one of the oldest musical instruments in the world, the harp has long been admired for its grandeur. To see one is a wonder, to hear one played moves your soul. In this colourful, walk-through sound and light installation, the beauty of the harp is transformed into a multi-player experience.
While a traditional harp is designed to be played by a soloist, this innovative instrument beckons all to take part in its immersive light music. As you and fellow festival-goers interact with the work, each string changes state from white to colours. At the hands of many players, the prism reverberates with light and musical tones. This symphony of the spectacular resonates with our collective harmony as together we create more joy and shared memories.
Vivid Sydney is an annual festival that celebrated its 12th year in 2022, Vivid Sydney fuses art, innovation and technology and features a set of light installations scattered around the city.
2022 will see both sides of Sydney Harbour Bridge emblazoned with hundreds of colour changing lights. In a ribbon of light, colours pulse from the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge across its world-famous span, through The Rocks, around Circular Quay and onto the Sydney Opera House forecourt.
Internationally celebrated light artist Sam Whiteside will take over the entrance of Carriageworks with his immersive lighting installation titled ‘contact’.
