A bush stone-curlew on one leg
A young bush stone-curlew standing on one leg to show off his sense of balance, even when mostly asleep (they are mostly nocturnal)
This image shot with the Sony 50mm f1.2 GM lens on a Sony A1, at ISO 100 f/1.2 1/640. Image cropped to a square, but it’s the full height of the frame. I was trying to show off how accurately the camera could focus with a really shallow depth of field, but I managed to put his leg out of focus; the moral of the story being that one should use enough depth of field to get the subject properly into focus.
