A sugar glider (a marsupial flying possum who eats sap and nectar) photographed in extremely low light.

A sugar glider is a marsupial, native to Australia, which can glide through the air using the skin between its front and back legs. They have a taste for nectar and other sugary foods. I photographed this one in the Nocturnal Animals section at Healesville Sanctuary in dim red light, hence the conversion to black-and-white.

This image shot with the Sony 135mm GM lens on a Sony A1, at ISO 32000 f/4 1/80. The camera measured the brightness of the scene at EV -3. Image cropped to 6501 x 4336.
