St Mary's Cathedral with the Voigtländer Heliar 50mm/1:3.5 and Leica M10

This is the third of a series of articles showcasing pictures taken on the Voigtländer Heliar 50mm/1:3.5. These pictures were taken at St. Mary’s Cathedral and gives an overview of how the lens performs in low light.

We visited St. Mary’s Cathedral, which is the seat of the Archbishop of Sydney, on Boxing Day 2019. It was fairly quiet in the church and only a few worshippers and tourists.

According to Wikipedia, the full name of the church is the Cathedral Church and Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Mother of God, Help of Christians. It is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney and dedicated to the “Immaculate Mother of God, Help of Christians”, Patroness of Australia and holds the title and dignity of a minor basilica, bestowed upon it by Pope Pius XI on 4 August 1932.

This is another good opportunity is how how well the lens captures detail in low light situations.
