Vivid 2022: Resonance

Where better than the middle of the city to offer a place of collective mindfulness? Using a geometric array of rotating convex mirrors suspended beneath the freeway overpass provides an unexpected multi-sensory spectacle for people below.

Seeing yourselves and your surroundings reflected in each of the mirrors offers a sense of seemingly infinite multiplied perspectives. Adding to the surprise, this meditative kinetic sculpture is simultaneously an unorthodox musical instrument. An original composition reverberates throughout the space creating a dynamic sound bath that deepens the experience.
