Tree-top dining

Giraffes are tall. Sure, we know that, but it’s when you get really close to a giraffe, especially a really tall one, that you appreciate what 6m tall looks like.

This image was shot at ISO 125, f/5.6, 1/1000 on the Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II with the 2x teleconverter. The focal length in the metadata is reported as 140mm – that’s pulled all the way in the 2x teleconverter, because we were quite close to him. I cropped this image down a little to fit the aspect ratio for printing.
